General Information & Care
1. What is a nursing bed used for?
A nursing bed is designed to support patients who need assistance with daily care, recovery, or long-term comfort. It is commonly used in home care, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living environments.
2. What types of nursing beds do you offer?
We offer manual and electric nursing beds, including models with adjustable backrests, leg rests, height adjustment, side rails, and discreet hygiene (toilet) functions. Different models are available for home care, medical facilities, and long-term use.
3. How do I choose the right bed for home care?
For home care, consider the patient’s mobility, caregiver needs, room size, and whether electric adjustment is needed. If the patient needs frequent repositioning, an electric bed may be more convenient, while a manual bed can be a practical and budget-friendly option.
4. Are your beds suitable for elderly patients?
Yes. Our nursing beds are suitable for elderly users who need safer transfers, improved comfort, and easier daily care. Models with low height settings, side rails, and adjustable positioning are especially helpful for older adults.
5. Is this bed suitable for patients with limited mobility?
Yes. Nursing beds are specifically designed to support patients with limited mobility. Adjustable positions, safety rails, and easy access features can make daily care easier and safer.
6. Can I use this bed for long-term care?
Yes. Many of our nursing beds are designed for long-term care use and daily patient support. The right model depends on the user’s condition, care setting, and functional needs.
7. Are these beds suitable for hospital use?
Yes. Our nursing beds can be used in hospitals, rehab centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and patient rooms, depending on the model and care requirements.
Product Specifications & Features
8. What weight capacity should I look for?
Weight capacity is one of the most important factors when choosing a nursing bed. Always select a bed that supports the patient’s weight with a safe margin. For example, our heavy-duty models can support a maximum weight capacity of up to 573 lbs, ensuring exceptional stability and a safe working load.
9. How do I know which size to choose?
Please check the room dimensions, caregiver access space, and the patient’s needs before ordering. For reference, our standard nursing beds have an overall frame size of approximately 83.9 inches (Length) x 47.2 inches (Width), with a bed surface of 78.7 inches (Length) x 39.4 inches (Width).
10. Is a mattress included, and what size mattress fits the bed?
Some of our models come with a specialized nursing mattress, while others require you to provide your own. Our standard beds are generally designed to fit custom medical mattresses measuring approximately 78.7 inches by 39.4 inches. Please check the specific product page to see if a mattress is included in your purchase.
11. Do the beds come with side rails?
Many of our models include side rails for added safety and support. Side rails can help reduce the risk of falling and provide extra stability during rest or movement.
12. What is the difference between manual and electric nursing beds?
Manual beds use hand cranks for adjustment, while electric beds use a motorized control system. Manual beds are simple and reliable, while electric beds are easier for caregivers to operate and are often preferred for frequent repositioning.
13. Do you offer beds with toilet functions?
Yes. Some models include a discreet hygiene access port (toilet function) to improve convenience for patients who have limited mobility. This feature is highly valued in home care and long-term care settings to reduce caregiver strain.
14. What materials are used in the bed frame?
Our beds are commonly made with highly durable, heavy-duty cold-rolled steel frames. Depending on the model, components may include high-grade ABS engineering plastic for headboards and footboards, aluminum alloy side rails, and stainless steel cranks. These materials are chosen for their stability and easy-to-clean surfaces.
15. What happens if there is a power outage?
For our electric nursing beds, safety is a priority. Depending on the model, they feature options to manually lower the backrest and leg rest safely to a flat position in the event of a power failure, ensuring the user is never stuck in an uncomfortable position.
Shipping, Assembly & Policies
16. Do you ship to the United States?
Yes. We support U.S. market orders and provide full tracking information, shipping details, and required documentation based on the selected model and destination.
17. How long does shipping to the United States take?
To ensure the safe transport of these heavy, specialized beds, we use a combination of professional crating, ocean freight, and local trucking. Delivery typically takes approximately 40 days from the time of order. We provide full tracking information so you can monitor your delivery.
18. How will the bed be delivered to my home?
Our heavy-duty nursing beds are shipped via professional freight carriers. We provide Curbside Delivery with a liftgate service, meaning the carrier will lower the packaged bed to the ground at the end of your driveway or curb. Please note that the delivery team will not bring the bed inside your home or assemble it. We highly recommend having family members or friends available to help move the boxes inside.
19. Is assembly difficult?
Most of our nursing beds are designed for straightforward assembly. Detailed instructions and a step-by-step setup video guide are provided to make the process as easy as possible.
20. Does Medicare or my private insurance cover the cost of this bed?
Currently, Mooxno operates as a direct-to-consumer brand, meaning we do not bill Medicare or private insurance directly. However, we can provide you with a detailed invoice and receipt after your purchase, which you can submit to your insurance provider to request out-of-network reimbursement. Please consult your insurance provider for their specific requirements.
21. What is your warranty and return policy for nursing beds?
We stand behind the quality of our products. Our electric nursing beds come with a 5-Year Warranty covering the main frame, silent motors, and control systems. Because these are heavy-duty hygiene products, specific return conditions apply. Please review our full Return Policy and Warranty page for detailed information.
